I was googleing a little bit not having anything else to do and I met this beginning of a phrase:
読んで欲しい人と読みたい人を結ぶ...
Why is it treated as if they are 2 different things? I knew that -te+hoshii and masu stem+tai were both a way of saying "want to do...".

They are the complete opposites! :)

読んで欲しい人= someone who wants others to read his works

読みたい人= someone who wants to read
