small つ
What's it mean when a sentence has one syllable smaller than it usually is? I keep on seeing つ but it's smaller and I don't think people pronounce it the same? What is that?
|
I'm not sure what you mean.. can you give an example?
also, why don't you use the japanese help thread? |
Example:もうかえってこない
and I really don't know lol |
That example made 0 sense to me? :S
The "chisai tsu" means you do a little pause before the next syllable (or to make the next one a short one) Like my name (Ash) is アッシュ because the シュ is a short shound. |
Ok, I think that answers my question. By Chisai Tsu you mean the small tsu? That's what I was talking about in my first post
|
yes as chisai means small in japanese..
it is also the name of the character. |
Ah, I see. When a different syllable is like that, does it change? Like does it still mean to pause or make that a short sound?
|
it depends what its used with. tsu is always a pause, though.
|
Ok cool, well thank you for your help!

darksyndrem,
You're questions are great, but please try and title the threads something besides "another question". |
