During the nightly news where I lived in Kanagawa, there often was a lady on the side of the screen signing the news as someone else read the news. I think they called it 手話ニュース or something.
Examples of JSL: YouTube - かがやき手話ニュース「原 道子の自分史・第1章」 Warning: there are subtitles, but they're in Japanese, so you'd better be willing to pause or be a proficient reader already to follow what she's signing. |
