If any of you REALLY want a mixi I can go sign up for one and offer some invites. PM.

Again, to address the thread title and to quote MMM: Unless you go to Japan, you will hit a plateau in your Japanese learning and will be forever stuck, at best, at the "mediocre and unnatural-sounding" level. Even if you come to Japan, it's not hard to stay at that level and not improve at all. You need to work very hard for it.
