question about a tattoo I saw on someone today
I am wondering what this says, and also if it should have been done horizontally, as it was.
just out of curiousity. ![]() the bottom part of the third one is the kanji for heart. I couldn't write it well, as the guy on the bus wasn't that close to me, so I couldn't see it very clearly. |
So there were two kanji in total, correct?
The first one was 句 , and not 旬 , correct? The second kanji, in either way you wrote it, doesn't exist. That is unless it exists outside of the few thousands that I do know. Could it have been any of the following? (No that it would still make sense as a phrase, though. Like yourself, ths is merely out of curiosity.) 恵 、思 、急 、息 、恩 |
yes, there were two. The second one I just couldn't tell if it had three horizontal lines, or four.
yeah, I'm pretty sure it was the first one, with no line in the middle. None of those look like it, at all. Thank you for your help. my other question: Should a tattoo in Japanese be across, or going vertically? or are both acceptable? |

I only meant in the direction, not in general.

you're not understanding.
I'm saying, if you must do it, which way should it be, or does it not matter? I'm not asking about right or wrong, in getting the tattoo in the first place. |

nice. It matters to me, because I want to know.

You asked "does it not matter?" I answered "it does not matter." |
