Can someone tell me when to use 何でもない and when to use 何もない?

I wish I had my copy of Yookoso! vol. 1. It explains Q-word +demo, +mo, +ka and the different usages.

I know instinctively how to use them now, but I can't explain it. But if you have a library with Yookoso in it, look it up.

There's someone's notes they took from the Yookoso! book. The yookoso.com website is actually unrelated.

However, in your specific context, I read the first as meaning "nevermind" and the latter as "there is nothing" or "there are none."

I just printed out that chart, it helps!

なんでもない means "nothing important", but 何もない means "nothing at all".

I can't think of a good example to contrast the two.

Q: どうしたの？元気ないみたいだけど・・・・
A： 何でもない。だいじょうぶ。

Q: なんか言った？
A: ううん。何でもない。

Q: 何考えてんの？
A: 別に・・・　何でもない。

Q: 今日のセール、なんかいいものあった？
A: 何もなかった。

Q: 冷蔵庫（れいぞうこ）開けてもいい？なんか飲み物ある ？
A: 何もないよ。コンビニでなんか買ってきてよ。

Q: 今日のjf、なんかおもしろいスレある？
A: 何もない。つまんないスレばっかし。
