Need help with a phrase please
 
I was writing a letter and I got stuck. I wanted to say in the letter that me and Person X got very close in the last few months. Now, Person X is related to me so it is nothing romantic or sexual, just close as relationship or feelings.

「Ｘさんとここ数カ月懇意（こんい）にしている。」 should be a safe way to say this.
