Let's play Shiritori (しりとり)!
しりとり is a fun game that in my opinion will help us learn new words.
しりとり is a game in which the players say a word which begins with the same kana of the previous word. Players can use ひらがな (Hiragana), Katakana(かたかな), or Kanji (かんじ). Here are the basic rules from Wikipedia: Quote:
Although I'm still a beginner in Japanese, I find the game pretty fun! Let's begin! さかな (Fish) The next person must write a noun that starts with な |
なつ! (夏 summer)
|
つなみ! (津波tsunami)
|
みかた!
味方 (Ally, friend) While I'm at it, (although this isn't my topic, just a suggestion,) why don't we all add kanji and English "translations" to the mix? That way, we get to learn even more. :D |
たる (樽 barrel)
|
るい (塁 Baseball)
|
いたみ!
痛み (Pain. I'm not an emo, I swear!!) |
みず!! (水 mizu=water)
|
Is ず difficult?
If so… ずがいこつ ! (頭蓋骨 skull) |
つな (綱 Rope)
Yuri, I forgot to say also that dakuten and handakuten may be ignored. So ず becomes す |
