Proof-read Food Vocab please? -

Hi, I'm doing a large poster for my sister and I want to check the vocabulary for it is correct. I don't trust my dictionary! Basically each item will be labelled with Kanji (if applicable), the english meaning in english and the reading. So could someone check if the Kanji are correct- obscure or rarely-used kanji are OK, as this is mostly for the look of the thing but I'd rather avoid あてじ/incorrect Kanji! and also can you check if the hiragana reading is correctly written, please. Feel free to totally ignore the romaji, though i can figure that out myself as long as the hiragana are correct.

冬瓜 とうがん サツマ芋 ＞ 薩摩芋 if you wanna use more kanji. 鰯、鰮？ Use first one. 柚 is OK but 柚子 is more often used. 水瓜 is OK but 西瓜 is more often used. — メロン Melon Meron? or just Melon? Why use "l" in romaji? ロブスタ ＞ ロブスター 鮃 ＞ 平目 丁字 is OK but 丁子 would be better. ご飯／米？ ごはん／こめ？ rice Gohan/kome.
