I just stumbled across what looks to be a fairly informative and fun website for Japanese-learners of nearly all levels except for the very beginner.

It doesn't teach the language systematically but teaches you very useful words and phrases. Everything taught there is current and completely natural, which is exactly what lacks in many of these websites.

The only drawback is its use of romaji where kana suffice.

Thanks for the link, Masaegu! I've already learned something and I've been there for about 5 minutes

Like I said, this website doesn't teach you Japanese from zero but it does teach you very useful words and expressions. If you have already studied at least several months to a year and you are able to read and write simple sentences, you may find it useful. There is none of all that unnaturalness and even incorrectness seen on many other websites that are created by your fellow Japanese-learners.

Very interesting part where she speaks about "need" and "must". I had always wondered if Japanese people actually say the whole ーなければならない. The closest I got to a shorter version was the use of きゃ and だめだ. But I would have never thought that in spoken Japanese you actually don't even say the last part.
