行く vs. 通う
Hi masaegu san, could you kindly explain to me the difference between:
日本語学校に通う。 日本語学校に行く。 |

日本語学校に行く。 You may not be a student there. You may be going to a Japanese-language school to repair an air-conditioner. |

Same goes to company, I assume?
For example, I go to work at the same place everyday, I say: 高島屋に通う。 Where as if I go to Takashimaya solely for shopping purpose, I say: 高島屋に行く。 Am I right? |
Yes. 通う, from what I was taught, has more to do with a frequent, habitual going.

Thanks for the help, KyleGoetz san. :)
