Hi, I would like to know if there is a difference between 探すand 捜す?

探す: to look for what you want to have, such as a new shirt to wear to the party next week or a new husband.

捜す: to look for someone/something that is missing.

By the way, when I am looking for Tanaka at his apartment and his wife open the door and ask me "Who are you looking for?". Can I say "田中さんを探しています (I am looking for Tanaka)" ?
