日本語にしか聞こえないサッカー中継

Here is a video that has been very popular here in Japan. You will either ROFL or shrug your shouders over it. Though I am posting the shorter version here, the full version has over 4 million views on Youtube.

In order to appreciate the video, you must:
1. Be at least an Intermediate Japanese-learner, and
2. Not be an Arabic-speaker.

Thank you so much for the link! My favorite part was the ハサミ that just came out of nowhere in the middle :)

Too funny!

I really enjoyed the video, but I’m not an Intermediate Japanese-learner or and Arabic-speaker.:D
I’m Japanese.

My favorite part is 「むっちゃ風邪ひいてん」 = "I have a terrible cold." in Osaka dialect.

chryuop 03-31-2011 03:38 PM

I didn't want to say it since I have very little knowledge...but I had seen むっちゃ and めっちゃ in 関西弁 and when I saw it in this video I thought he was somewhat "quoting" that area way of speaking.
What gave me doubts was ひいてん which I was told being a colloquialism found in other parts of Japan. Maybe, had they said in the video むっちゃ風邪ひいてんねん I would have been more confident in saying there was some Kansai in it :)

I think you'll see め(っ)ちゃ in Tokyo, too. I think it was the precursor to ちょう and the successor to すごく.
