What does it mean? Please help. -

Heard this said by Guildenstern in the video game Onimusha: Warlords - "Nan do chu?"
What does it mean? I asked my co-worker who is a native speaker from Japan and she said it doesn't mean anything. But it seemed like she knew, but didn't want to say... I may be mistaken. She's hard to read. YouTube - ‪Onimusha 1 Warlords - Full Story version (Part 6 Defeat Fortinbras)‬‏ Here is a video of the scene where the phrase is spoken at time mark 1:43. Thanks a lot! |

Hello, Tturtle
I'm japanese native speaker. I try to answer. He didn't say "nan-do-cyu" He said "nan da to?" That means "What are you saying that?" or "Why did you say such a stupit things" He is getting angry. and He could't understand his word. The monster has a grate power and felt proud of it. The monster can't understand Why onimusya try to beat me. The reason why The monster thinks that" I am more more more stronger than onimusya." There is no use to try me. |
