Close. One particle mistake. Change the 「が」 to another one.

Haha, this is exactly why I don't use pronouns in this construction. My best guess is to change it to に, but holy hell I have no idea.

Then, in descending order of "guess":
の?
を?
ピョコ?

Correct. It is ALWAYS 「に」 when saying "Someone wants another to do something."

Thank you for both of those explanations--and for that amelioration at the end.

Regarding the '"you and "me"' thing, another reason why it wouldn't be what I said is that you used がほしい rather than ~たい。
So, "なんといたいか" or "なんと言いたいか" might translate to "what do I want to say", no?

KyleGoetz 09-15-2011 11:50 PM

たい is used to talk about your own desire to do something
たがる is used to talk about another person's desire to do something
てほしい is used to talk a person's desire for another person to do something

ピザを食べたい = i want to eat pizza
ピザを食べたがっている = he wants to eat pizza
ピザを食べてほしい = i want you to eat pizza

Right, thanks.
