Hi!

Could you guys help me recognize a kanji in the attachment. It is very cursive script and I have no idea what it is. Thanks in advance.

Im no native speaker but that doesn't look like kanji to me. Looks like katakana characters ハ and ウ. No idea what the upper left area is supposed to be?

Nothing to recognize. This did not even lay near a calligraphy.

Almost looks like katakana ミルク ("Milk"), as in the movie with Sean Penn.

Is there more to the object? Do you have other items in the same hand? Even if it's not kanji we may be able to figure it out. I hate mysteries...

At least the red stamp says 赤平.

Certainly? I don't see the ク but I do see extra strokes, which are never allowed.

I'm voting ミハウ. I can think of a few reasons someone might write that. It's the name Michal in kana, could be a foreigner practicing their calligraphy with their own name, or the autograph of someone who's been in Japan too long (or of mixed descent), or an item from a "Your name in kana!" booth next to the airport.

This isn't kanji.

It's some sort of ultrastylised kana. I agree that the last 字 is probably oddly stroked ウ and not a ク, but as for what the point of this is, I don't know.
