trying to translate ''star tamer'' into japanese. any help would be most appreciated :D

星調教師　－　ほしちょうきょうし, but I am not sure if plain katakana would not be better. It depends what do you need it for.

'star' means a famous or skilled performer? Then how about 「スター調教師sutaa choukyoushi（スター=star）」「人気調教師ninki choukyoushi（人気=popular）」「有名調教師yuumei choukyoushi（有名=famous）」...

ah, thank you for that :3 went and found a english to katakana translater and after a bit of researchc and double checking found the translations for star and tamer

It's OK. As evinced by the responses above, we English speakers have no idea what "star tamer" means, either ;)

Do you at least get the vague sense from the kanji of someone using operant conditioning and veterinary science on balls of burning gas?
