One Complex Sentence... Help!
 

Hello everyone,

I'm currently translating my resume and, as the title suggests, I'm having a bit of trouble translating a complex sentence.

Here's the Objective:

Now some of the nouns are easy. I've already got (in order):

経済学者 - Economist
ビジネス分析者 - Business Analyst OR ビジネスコンサルタント - Business Consultant
定量分析 - Quantative Analysis
定性分析 - Qualitative Analysis

Yet the "Diligent, motivated High Honors graduate" part and "add to the bottom line"... I have no clue where to begin.

The end of the first sentence should probably be:

を探しています。 - am searching for.

or I might want it to read:

になりたいです。 - would like to become.

Though I'm wondering if there's a more formal way of writing this. (I'm not very good at written Japanese... I can only speak it to a degree.)

I'm not one to normally double-post, but I'm using this thread as a worksheet as well...

It seems that it would be best to split the sentence up grammatically first.

Thus:

"Diligent, motivated High Honors graduate" is our main subject to be followed by は.

(I might use 働き者 - Hard Worker here, but I have no cultural reference for if it's appropriate to refer to yourself as a "hard worker" as a promotional.)

"seeking" is our verb so the sentence will end with を探しています。 or proper variation thereof.

"an economic research or business analyst position" should precede を.

And it might be easiest to stop there and save the last part for a separate sentence.

So...

my humble suggestion,

business analyst - ビジネス分析者(業務分析者) is hardly used. In exchange, ビジネスアナリスト is used frequently.
Diligent - 勤勉な(働き者 is so colloquial)
motivated - 熱心な、やる気のある
High - 上位
Honors - 優等、優等学位
graduate - 卒業生

where strong quantitative and qualitative skills will add to the bottom line.
skill - 技術、技能、知識(knowledge)
the bottom line - Is that for a economics term? in that case, it might be 収支決算 or 純益 etc.
私の定量分析と定性分析の知識は、will add to the bottom line.
or
私の定量分析と定性分析の知識は、貴社（の業績）に 貢献できると考えています。

Special interest in projects related to Japan.
- 特に日本に関係のあるプロジェクト（or 事業）に興味を持っています。

Thank you! I'm still not at the point where I realize what is and isn't colloquial Japanese.

That would make the noun phrase:

"勤勉で熱心な優等卒業生は"

(I dropped "上位 - High" because, even though I could grammatically add it, I realized I couldn't find a similar phrase anywhere. Thus, I'd rather be an Honors graduate than a "High" Honors graduate who's making up words. ^^)

Corporate term. Means "Net Income" in most cases and is defined as a corporations profit after all taxes have been applied. Therefore, I think 純益 is best here.

I like your phrasing here better and it still translates to much the same meaning. Company achievements are just as good.

Final translation:

hmm... I think...
I think that you had better put 私は at the beginning of your first sentence. your first sentence may sounds like "someone who ~ graduate seeking ~". and you may put watashiha at only the beginning of the paragraph. you don't need repeat watashiha in each sentences unless the topic changes.
e.g.
私は～な卒業生で、～の仕事を探しています。
or
私は～な学生で、優秀な成績で大学を卒業し、～の仕事 を探しています。
hmm, my examples are not so good.
