I just put up the first lesson of Basic Japanese. Japan Linked - Real Japanese - Link yourself to everything in Japan!
You will start fright fromt he very begining but learn Hiragana, katakana , and kanji at the same time right from the start. Trust me after 7 years of Japanese studies this is the way to go Romaji should olny be used for the very first lesson mabye the second after that you should be using hiragana, katakana, kanji with furigana ( hiragana below the kanjis), then after a couple lessons wiht the new knaji the furigana should be droped.

Anyway check out the lesson let me know what you think! Enjoy

If so, you almost got it right; the second sentence is fine, but the first sentence needs a little work.

First thing, you don't need to attach the particle "wa" to words like Kinou, Ashita, and Kyou (there is an exception, but that gets a little complicated). Secondly, if you're trying to say "bought a magazine," you will need the particle "wo" to indicate a direct object, which would in this case be "zasshi."

So, here is the correct sentence:

"Kinou, watashi wa zasshi wo kaimashita. "

Yeh that was what I was trying to say. OK so you still add wa after watashi. Thanks for explaining :)
Is "wo" the same as "o" because in some sentences I see "o"

When speaking, you pronounce the character as "o", but in the hiragana alphabet, you write the character "wo."
