Hi, I'd like to know the meaning of this tattoo.
Thanks Stefano

That kanji has a few different meanings.

1. big rope
2. to tie
3. to maintain

I hope you know that the kanji is in the simplified form used in mainland China, and not in the Japanese form.

Now I know it, thanks. I red something also on Wikipedia.
So to know the real/original meaning I should try on a China forum? Do they use them yet?

Well, the meanings of kanji are generally the same between China and Japan. But you might wanna ask an educated Chinese person as well just to make sure. The Chinese use their own simplified kanji now, but the meanings of kanji have been the same since the begining of time.
