Regarding the meaning of よに a song... -

Dear All,
I have a question about the meaning of よに in the lyrics below. The lyrics are from a song called "そんな空には踊る馬". 青い天井がめくれて 私はうかんだ 生まれたばかりの三日月が まわるよに ほほえむ ああ 私は夢をみてる Source: https://mojim.com/jpy109099x11x9.htm What I am confused with is that since ように and よに can be the same sometimes (According to 大辞林: https://kotobank.jp/word/%E3%82%88%E3%81%AB-406383), I cannot tell if the よに here is a noun or an adverb. I would be very appreciative of any help. Thank you very much for the reply. Best, Karaage P.S. My first language is not English, so if I make any mistakes, please feel free to point it/them out. Thank you. |

"よに:YONI" is shortened form of "ように:YOU-NI;like as" used only in song lyrics. "よな:YONA" also used only in lyrics.

As I'm not good at the English grammatical word for Japanese, "よに:YONI" itself seems to be not adverb but "よに:YONI" makes "adverb phrase" as the main marker which qualifies verb.
In the other hand, "よな:YONA" makes "adjective phrase" which qualifies noun.. Correction:
phrase -> clause "よに/ように:YONI/YOUNI;like that ..." "よな/ような:YONA/YOUNA;like as ..."
