I don't understand this. There are no such things as upper and lower case letters in Japanese...

When I learned it it was taught in a song with the tune of the Clementine Song (Oh my darling, oh my darling, etc)
く is いて
ぐ is いで
うつる are small って
ぬむぶ are んで
and す is just して

Though it's important to note that る refers to an う verb (or 1st level or whatever you call them) who's dictionary form ends in る (IE 作る) not something like 食べる which just changes to 食べて

Or something. I'm not really very good with てform.

just change one of those (last sounds of plain form verbs) to the te form they correspond with.
for example:
Wow that is wonderful. Sometimes I get stuck between く and る, other than that I usually get them right (of course errors are not infrequent, but mostly because I don't use my brain hee hee). I know there is only one form that requires いて, but don't know why sometimes I try to put it to more verbs (る and once in this forum even with す) :)

Japanese ~te form of a verb!

If you know the ~masu form of a verb, drop ~masu and look at what's there.

If it's i, chi, ri, bi, mi, ni etc.
