Japanese Horror Movies
 

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE japanese films but some of my favoreites have to be horror movies, don't get me wrong I love most japanese films, its just they way japanese horror films are done its just amasing

I adore Japanese horror movies too ^_^ I find that they are so much more imaginative and complex than other movies.

hollywood trys to remake a lot of them but they usually end bad

Appreciate korean horror movies more tbh, japanese horror is ten times
better than horror á la Hollywood style, but still, some jp horror feels like they've the same target group or something.
Always some wrecked noises, horror at home with sliding doors,
elevators and pale children. Maybe it just me and only those movies I've
seen, any ideas of new horror movies without the usual stuff?
'cause I've been through quite a lot of the older ones.

iv seen most of them and yeah - they are amazing and hollywood cant even come close to a spot on the arse of a j-horror. Having said that however - i do think that j-horror has sorta fizzled out now and it is need of some new ideas !

i think its good...on scare factor its not so high but i like the storyline!

unfortunatel,i havent seen many j-horrormovies yet.. just the original version of the ring,the grudge..but i really like horrormovies..hehee x)

I love any horrer film if it plays in japan xD like "the gurge" on i know one side to buy films/cd/ and other stuff from japan (CDJapan - Japanese Anime, Jpop, Japanese music, Game music, Japanese movie, CD, DVD -) but do you know an other side which is better?^^

Dark water (even if it's not scary, good)
"Scary true stories, ten haunted tales from the JP underground" (JP version, US version sucks)

Chinese horror:
Three extremes,movie samples. Cut, Box and short version of Dumplings
Dumplings (not scary at all, but a bit freaky)

[too bad so many Chinese horror movies have been banned and censored, but the newest ones are the best]

Ringu (0, 1 & 2) and Ju on (呪怨) (1, 2) is bad... really bad.

But this is my opinion. And I've never got scared
(else than some goosebumps) of any horror movie,
so if you can recommend something FRIGHTENING please don't wait to

i liked ju on i mean it wasnt amasing or anything but compared to the america vertion the japanese vertion was great

yeah compared with the US version it rocks grandpha's socks,
but I don't think girls with hair covering their faces and broken legs
are that scary, nor closets or pale children. That's why I don't like it ;]

mayb dark water or the ring(as previously mentioned)on the american version (dark water)when the woman is in the laundry room & starts the tap water it comes out all black & murky & some hairs(i cant remmbr tho so i dunno)??

They all seem to have to do with girls or women geting killed and coming after a man, or killing whoever goes into the house. -_-

I like the Ju-On one ^_^ that's my fave. One Missed Call is good too. The American version of the Grudge 2 is terrible. They completely screwed it up. Or maybe that's my opinion because I saw the Japanese one first.

no its true the american grudge movies suck

The American version of Ju-on 2 isn't a remake. I'm guessing you thought it was supposed to be an exact copy of Ju-on 2, just like the first Grudge was a remake of the first Ju-on.

I watched the japanese version of Pulse and I didn't know what the fuck I was watching:confused: . The American version was way better than the japanese version hands down. But I did like the japanese version of Ju-On 1 and 2, despite the confusion.:) :confused:

I haven't seen Pulse yet. It's waiting for me in my netflix account, once I can start it up again.

Anyone seen Sick Nurses yet? It's a bit dull at first(and a little Americanized, or at least I thought), but about half way through it gets really good...and weird.

Can anyone give me a list of J-horror movies that are worth watching?
