I have been having a hard time to find good Japanese shows(do they even exist?) with real people and not just anime.

if your looking for a good japanese tv program.. let me share with you with some japanese tv program that I'm currently watching..
1) syabekuri 007
2) fukai hanashi
3) music station

for Jdorama.. there are a lot of drama which you should not miss watching it..
for an example, CHANGE ( staring kimura takuya.. )

Yeah we have an English version called 'Hole in the Wall.'

Oh! I watched Hana Kimi based on the manga... and um Summer Snow... then there was another one... Well u have at least 2 ^-^ god it was long ago I watched Dramas...

I've only watched one episode, but there's a drama called ProDai (I think that's the name, the video I was watching was entitled "Operation Love").

I can't find the other episodes, but the first one was awesomness :D

Shojiki shindoi is kind of a walk and talk show. the host Tsuyoshi walks around certain areas with a guest exploring places like Akihabara, disneyland japan,etc.

Shin domoto Kyoudai is a talk show interviewing celebraties. its hosts are kinki kids which also has Tsuyoshi in it.

I'd have to agree with everyone when they mention CrunchyRoll. Its a good place for ALL kinds of Asian dramas, shows, animes, CV, etc...

But if you want good japanese shows, I recommend everything KimuTaku (Kimura Takuya) is in. He's one of the guys in SMAP.
