It was mostly the same, but had an interesting lead-in. That may have been on the original Japanese, too, but I've only seen the English. I think it cut out a little bit of Gohan's trip down the river, which was nice.

Just watched it. Nearly the same. A little dissapointed. Even most of the animation was taken straight from the old series.
