Looking for the name of a movie

Can anyone help me find the name of a Japanese movie I saw recently on UK tv? It's about a man that loses his job but doesn't tell his wife. His 12(?) year old son wants to take piano lessons but the family can't afford it, but he manages to get free lessons from a private teacher. The film ends with the son entering a piano competition and playing a very moving piece! What a film!!
