I prefer the Japanese version of The Ring and The Grudge (I have the Ju-on novel too) To me they seem much more real. Kinda like the Higurashi movie.

I full am in support of Ringu as being the better movie. Even though the ghosts were blue and the blue was an obvious bright cool-aid red, the plot, character, and over all horror effect was far above it's American counter part.

I say that the Japanese versions have a little less effects, but all in all they made the movie better because of the storyline and the scenes.
Not being biased here but there are movies that the West should stop borrowing from the Japanese. There is even a time that I nearly puffed my coffee out of my mouth after hearing the rumors that there will be an American remake of Death Note and Zac Efron role-playing as Light. =_=" |
