Actually the topic here is who loves Marilyn Manson.

Marylin Manson had a awesome beginning of career.The albums "Antichrist Superstar" and "Mechanical Animals" have much quality.But Manson had the help of Trent Reznor with those ones and it seens like he was not the same without Reznor's help.He's currently quite lame and his last albums are terrible and weak.But if we look at the past he had a cool career.But I guess it is already about time for him to try something else.

I like his music but don't listen to it because I've heard he's done some very un-Christian things. Very.

And he's not creepy... he's creative and different.

I used to hate Marilyn Manson. Thought he was the biggest moron I had ever come across. Not only did he look uglier than a Mutha F***er but he dissed Billy Corgan too. (Who incidently owns MM 10 ways to Sunday with his talent as a song writer and artist.)
Then I saw him in the documentary "bowling for columbine" and my attitude changed towards him. I admired his intelligence.
Now though i've seen him in his softcore porn videos again, talking about nonsense and I don't really hate him anymore and don't admire him either. I just dislike that his potential goes to so much waste and it makes me wonder whether his "political" fashion statement has totally changed into a tool for soul-less money making.
I mean before, you had snotty little brats all listening to his songs and thinking that this guy was their Messiah or something but you had some people (like me) who admired his statement. Now though I don't see a statement anymore, just a desperate attempt to sell records.

ps. i've seen the prick live like 5 times now, quite unintentionally -_-'

I reckon he is a wanker. He has this whole "im a psyco" persona and there is really no point for it.

He acts like a weirdo to get media attention and to shock people into banning and hating his music (which isnt too bad by the way) so kids will buy it to be "hardcore"

I agree with acid on this one ^___^ i clicked love him out of pure respect hahaha because Eat me Drink me was a load of Sh*t he realy dropped the ball on that one. i loved Anticrist superstar and Smells like children and im also a fan of his hollywod album... and as far as stage performance goes...for the genre he chose NONE do it better. Thats my opinion anyways:D .

i really was never a fan of marilyn manson. there are a few songs i like from him, but wasn't a HUGE fan.his genere of music would be something like industral or goth metal.

Marilyn Manson is a little over exxagerated in my opinion. He is ok I don't really hate him and I don't think he's great either. So I geuss I'm undecided on that topic.

I like alot of Manson's older music..particularly Get Your Gunn and Lunchbox..and almost anything with the Spooky Kids. His newer stuff just isn't for me, but as a musician at least the guy does what he does. I'll respect that any day of the week.

Also, as outnumbered as the original poster is, I feel your plight. I've heard the same complaints about a number of bands that I absolutely adore(Twiztid, Slipknot, ICP, Body Count, Buckethead, hell even Iron Maiden) people just get turned off by the look of a musician and don't get to understand what that musician is all about. But, for those that have listened to Manson and can't stand him..well then more power to ya! :) Its all a personal decision anyways, but still, hating something because it looks weird is just..well yeah.
