I don't think you can have a kanji in your name to get registered as a trademark in the U.S. It's the U.S. that's telling the band to change its name this time, not Japan.

Roughly translates as Aristocrats of Versailles or Belonging to Versailles? My translation is horrible so I'm only 90 percent sure that's the only available translations for that.
