To be honest, all their songs done in both languages are better in German. Not just because of the sound, but because alot of meaning is lost, when switched to English. imo.

yea ecpesially 1000 oceans i mean it was lost to me and so was rette mich the german first vers was correct but in enlish it was kinda mess up ?

I just wanna tell Bill, I appreciate you wanting us to know what you're singing about, but please, no more songs in English. Too much is lost in translation. Too much feelings and emotions and meaning.

He sings very well in English, but I very much prefer the songs in German only.

I was reading some where at a website where they are planning to do their next cd in English as well. It will be translated as Scream was.

Sorry to join this thread so late but yes. The songs that are sung in German have so much more meaning and are so powerful versus English. I love his voice in English and German but German is much better.
Of course the band is going to do their songs in English also now because they are so well known nation wide. I just hope they don't stop making German songs. My heart will break D:

No they said that they are (well Bill said) that they are going to always do their songs in German because, "It's our Mother tongue!" & then they'll do it in English. I've heard some rumors that they might start translating it in Spanish:eek: wow!

IMO I prefer Enlish so I can actually sing along when I'm in my shower (I sound terrible trying to sing in German lol) but the music itself is usally what catches me when I listen to them, I'm trying to learn how to play Monsoon on my guitar:cool: (moderately getting there!)

Well that's great that they aren't going to stop the German but Spanish? WOW. Those boys and everyone else are going to be super busy. I didn't know they knew Spanish? Personally, I could never listen to a Spanish song by them or anyone else. I just don't like the class I'm taking for it so I don't like to listen XD But that will definatly get more people so if they want to I won't stop them.

That's neat that you can play it on your guitar. You should videotape it and then post it to youtube or something so we can hear :P
