Does anyone here like Klaha? I've just now started listening to his music and I really like the little that I have been able to find (MP3s are hard to find and my PC can't play videos right now). I think his voice is amazing!

Arikado 11-28-2008 06:35 AM

Yes! Another Klaha fan! I also love Klaha's voice, especially his opera-style singing. XD

Kyoiism 11-28-2008 11:40 AM

I tend to like his Malice Mizer days, myself.

Arikado 11-28-2008 10:05 PM

I don't know why Klaha doesn't get very much attention here on JF. The only time I hear about him is when he's grouped with Malice Mizer. True, his MM days were great, and a lot of the songs he sang were awesome (and some of my favorites), but it seems like hardly anyone considers him "worthy" as an individual. I think he has something special, even if he's not as big as Gackt, Kyo, Miyavi, etc. Anyway, that's my short rant... Anyone else think Klaha deserves more credit?

YoshimiTheEthereal 11-29-2008 05:12 AM

I definately do! Anyone who can sing opera like that is special. His voice is so beautiful I just want to wallow in it until I melt! :chococat:

By the way, does he sing opera in any songs besides "Seinaru Toki Eien No Inori"? Especially in his solo music?

hmm..in malice mizer, the songs where he sings opera are shiroi hada ni kuruu ai to kanashimi no rondo(u GOTTA hear this! i think only he can sing this song:) ) , and mayonaka ni kawashita yakusoku. in His solo music, i dun think so since i think he wanna try his vocal skills at other music genres like jazz, and spanish guitar kind of songs which i think he did it very well..his voice is truly versatile and unique..miss him so much!!

u can try liestening to red room- garasu no hana..it has the sapnish feel in it..and his voice are quite close to his opera like singing voice in mm.

Miyavifan 01-03-2009 04:55 PM

I have only heard two songs, from his Malice period. But I definitely think he deserves more credit.

He's beautiful, isn't he?

Thanks for the info, guys!

He is a pretty good looking guy. Good enough for me. Plus, I think that voice could win me over, anyway! :D

Have you watched "Bara no Konrei"? He is awesome in it!

Is he still doing his solo career or did he quit? He hardly has any music . . .

GhidXoraH 01-04-2009 02:11 PM

He was my favorite of Malice Mizer's three vocalists.

I hadn't even heard of it. :o

I think Klaha is in the same field of Juka, Hizaki Grace Project, Hakuei and Asagi. The music while good is only an echo of what was done as part of a group. Surely it is solo work, but it has the underlying sound of the group work. Thus, I feel that while the music is good, it's really nothing to go "gaga" over.

I mean a great solo artist, whose work sounds nothing like the band in question would be something like Ruiza's "by degrees", or Chachamaru's "Grieve" or even Sugizo's work outside of Luna Sea. That would be considered completely original and outside of the band sound.

He's trying to be completely original, I do believe he is, but it's nothing to be "OMG IT'S KLAHA" about. I mean a lot of the piano sounds like the piano work Gackt did for MM.

That of course is just my opinion, as to why I think Klaha really doesn't have any "gaga it's Klaha" fans.

Arikado 01-04-2009 11:56 PM

Klaha's voice is special, and that's what there is to go "gaga" over if there was anything to ever go "gaga" over in the first place. I'm not "gaga for Klaha," but he definitely deserves a name in J-music because of his unique and talented voice. He has a great timbre, and his vibratos are well-executed and effective, unlike a lot of other J-rock singers who can only briefly vibrato at the very end of a line.

Touya 01-05-2009 03:55 AM

The point of "Rock" is Rock. Not vibrato. Klaha can't really be considered rock then from your point of view it would be more of an opera-ish class.

Ningyou 01-05-2009 05:03 AM

Klaha's amazing. I think I've listened to Beast of Blood like...over 1,000 times. I love his voice, and his solo stuff is beautiful. And again I say, you can find his solo stuff on imeem.com

If you'd pay more attention to vocalists' tones, you'd notice that vibratos are used a LOT in J-rock. Klaha sang a lot of J-rock songs for Malice Mizer, not just opera, and he utilizes his vibrato very well.

Touya 01-06-2009 01:41 AM

If you want to call it that. Klaha's voice is not meant for Rock. I think in the aspect that you're speaking of Gackt was better. Klaha's should stick to what he's good at, and it's certainly not Rock, and he obviously knows that with "Setsubou" being all ballads.

Arikado 01-06-2009 11:48 AM

Vibrato is the official name for those techniques, yes, no matter how short or noticeable they are. Klaha has rock potential, and I think he would do alright, but you're right, Klaha's specialty really doesn't belong with rock.

SHAD0W 01-06-2009 01:06 PM

Just by looking at him I can tell I wont like his music.. ill give it a go though..

He sounds like the guy on the opening theme to Japanorama (youtube it)

AkiraChambela 01-13-2009 07:30 AM

Klaha is amazing
Defiantly my favorite of the 3 Malice Mizer singers
He has a beautiful voice that is so captivating
I think thats why I liked him best in the Malice Mizer days, his voice just seemed to fit Malice Mizer's style more then the others.

Ningyou 01-13-2009 07:58 AM

I personally think that Tetsu was the best out of the Malice Mizer singers, although I love all of them.

YoshimiTheEthereal 01-16-2009 04:30 AM

I liked Gackt era the best because I liked the overall style of music the best.

I really wish that Klaha would get back on the music scene. Supposedly, he is working on his music, but he has not released any in a long time. If he quits, it would be a real waste of great talent. And I don't really like the kind of music he sings very much; it doesn't really flaunt his beautiful voice, either. I love "Chameleon no Seppun", but that's about it. He needs to go back into opera or something like Malice Mizer.

Senryu 07-02-2009 11:57 AM

Klaha has such a wonderful voice,he was my favourite vocalist from Malice Mizer. Also,i like his solo work,Stay In The Rain,Marchen and Scape-with transparent wings are good songs.
And i'd like to claim Klaha :D

SaintKat 07-02-2009 12:46 PM

I think he has a beautiful voice, it's very memorable.
