Well old rock is still classified as Western Rock : D
So it's not really unfair, Western rock just has more going for them.
They're seeming to be more different than each other.

Anyway... New Zealand Rock beats Western (American) rock AND J-rock :mtongue:

That's a difficult choice for me. Even in the modern ring, each side has some fantastic contenders. I'm going to have to go with J-rock for modern music. Almost all of the Western 'rock' that I find worth listening to nowadays isn't really what I consider rock. If that makes any sense.

IMO if you compare the most legendary Jrock bands with the most legendary western rock bands, western rock bands win hands down. With the sh*t rockbands and jrockbands, they are pretty much level pegging in terms of how crap they can get.
