J-Rockers and Height
 

I was just curious about who's the tallest jrocker and who's the shortest jrocker, to the best of your knowledge.

I would like to think Miyavi is the tallest and Kyo is the shortest.

I was thinking that Miyavi might be the tallest too but I wasn't too sure.

Yeah I second that. Miyavi is the tallest and Kyo/Ruki the shortest.

I think the shortest is Hyde, he has sth about 158cm;) Ruki is little taller~

I think Maya (LM.C) and Karyu (Despairsray) are a bit taller than Miyavi.
they are like 1.87m. Yasuno (Kra) is as tall as Miyavi :)

and probably my lovely Hyde is shortest TT

It's so interesting finding out how tall these guys really are because it's hard to tell based on their pictures alone. Some of them shock me because it's hard to picture them being as short or as tall as they are.

no i saw in a video this other short guy (shorter than Ruki) but idk what band was he from..i just remember Miyavi pet his head :p

How'd you find out about Ruki? It's not at myspace, their website, or wiki.

I'm actually curious where everyone found all the info they posted.

Isn't gackt taller than Miyavi?

(I googled Miya at 158 cm, and Gackt at 180 cm....is that right?)

miyavi seems to be tallest that i could find at 185 cm
Maya(lmc) some said 185 some said 182-185 cm
Karyu(Despairs ray) i only found one, it said 183 cm
Tatsurou(Mucc) next at 182 and ties with Tora(alice nine)
Yasuno(kra) 181 cm

Gackt is only like 177-180?

Yomi(nightmare) 155 cm
Keiyuu(kra) 156 cm
Hyde 157 cm
Kyo (diru) ties with Mao(sadie) at 160 cm (they're clones i tell you lol)
Ruki (gaze) ties with Takeru(SuG) at 162 cm

Hmm, now I'm on a quest to see if anyone is taller then Miyavi because so far he seems to be the reigning tallest jrocker!

no offence to anyone but I don't think that Miyavi is 185cm, honestly..
I saw him in real and he didn't look so taller than I thought before . He was like 183cm or so.yea actually he was tall but couldn't be 185cm. or he can be 185cm with his boots on?:p in my eyes Maya was taller next to Miyavi.
as for Karyu I saw someone who is a huge fan of Karyu said he is 187cm like tokyo tower haha (it's also with boots on??) he looks really tall indeed though I'm not sure :)

Miyavi looked pretty damn tall to me when i saw him. In videos i saw of Maya and Miyavi together, they looked pretty near in height...which i've found to be the case on websites that i've looked at as well. Karyu...it was hard for me to find heights of him. Only one, that said 183.

In the videos that I saw of Miyavi and Maya I also thought they looked really close in height. Some times Maya looked a little taller though, while other times he looked the same. Either way they're both really tall.

I agree that in some videos Maya looks slightly taller than Miyavi, however, ever where I've looked says that Miyavi is in fact 185 cm. I think that he definitely looks that tall too. Regardless, the difference between 185 cm and 183 cm is super small so it would be hard to even see that difference. It's only about an inch.

I think Maya might seem tall because during his Myv-backup days he always wore huge boots. He's shorter than Aiji. That'd make Aiji tall too, then..

Yeah, yomi is so short! That's like...just a little more then five feet tall lol I thought Keiyuu was pretty short too, cause he looks little and cute XD

I looked up Aiji height but it said only 175~177 at all the sites I looked at.

sidenote: i was surprised, Maya is 30 already! I knew aiji was older, like 35, but maya is old as Aoi, it seems weird to me:P

Lol, I know. It doesn't seem to matter how much they age. Most of them still always look so good. I want to age like that!

I read that he's 5'10 3/4" on IMDB and then several other sites said that he was 5'11".

According to Aikaryu-Biography - Biography , Daiki, former bassist of the old band Aikaryu, is 187cm. I don't know if you're counting former musicians or not, but if this info is true, he's taller than Miyavi.

There's nothing wrong with discussing heights. If one wanted to be rude, one could ask what your problem is.

Aikaryu was a Japanese power metal band from about 2002-2007.

Here is a picture of Daiki to show his height. He is the tallest one and is in the very back, the smallest person in the picture and on the right, Teru, is 170 cm.

Oh, and Jasmine You, the bassist of Versailles that passed away recently, said he was 15mm. LOL! ^__^

Well, actually 5'2.5". I used a converted to make it cm, so I'm sorry if it's a little off! :o

I always wished I was shorter. It wasn't fun for me being a girl and being taller then most of the guys in my classes. I don't mind so much now though.

It's ok.. I think converters don't do halves. I'm actually 4'11" and a half... don't know when I gained the half inch. o_O
