An indie band that's starting to come into it's own is Molice. I've heard comparisons to Number Girl, but I personally think they sound a little more like Toddle.

I second Ogre You Asshole! and The Telephones.
Also, I am obsessed with Radwimps now. Although I guess they are kind of major, but they are definitely not visual kei lol More like pop/rock But they are amazing  It's hard to choose my favorite but... i like this songI am also liking...
