About Japanese Folk Music Scales!

Hello My Japanese Dear Friends Here,

I'm one of the biggest lover of every thing about Japan especially the folk culture and music

I want to ask you about this music in this YouTube video:

Under which Japanese pentatonic scale can we classify it, please give me the name of this scale, because as I know there are types of Japanese folk music scales!

Japanese music is very rich and diverse in their forms and I think it is vary by geographic location and historical background of the population in different regions of Japan and this what I found through my modest research over the past years. The problem is that I am looking for a specific type and it is what I love and favor, which is much like music adopted in my country, but in the fact I love Asian pentatonic scale in general and Japanese scale in particular more than what we have here, and as I said, I'm looking for a specific japanese music type and it was attached in the video at the beginning of the thread!

Usual Japanese traditional songs have common pentatonic scales like as Asia/Africa traditional songs.

Okinawa has unique traditional scale like this.

This song "SHIMAUTA:Song of Island" is made by non-Okinawa person and this song is not fully in Okinawa scale but just "based" on Okinawa scale. Subtitles are in Okinawa dialect and not good for learning Japanese.

I know about Okinawa scale and I think that Minyo scale is one of Okinawan scales and its beautiful,,,

I thinks these songs very near to Japanese folk scale called "Yo" scale and this is what I'm looking for (I'm looking for Japanese songs considered as "Yo" scale)

As you might already know, "YO" means positive, plus or active while "IN" means negative, minus or passive. From the musical point of view, "YO" is major and "IN" is minor.

"YO-SENPO:scale" is actually major pentatonic scale. "IN" scale is more complicated. I have heard there are four types of "IN" scale I really don't know well.
