well there are martial arts like jujutsu. They have somthing called ekiden its like a relay race of sorts.

that's a nice one lol :p but I geuss sports like sumo and kendo could be some of the sports they invented. in martial arts they have the olde practices of the samurai like iaido, jodo, kyudo,... so yes I think they have invented dome of them ^^
