Whoah, I was totally going to ask this the other day, no lie!
I'm a huge lacrosse player myself, but it's really hard in America to find strong support outside of the east coast. Now that I'm in Japan, I honestly feel like I see lacrosse stuff all the time though. There's an all girl's high school right next to my university and I end up walking surrounded by a bunch of school girls every day lol but the other day I noticed quite a few of them had lacrosse gear bags with their school's name on it. I've seen some Keio lacrosse girls (another university near my school) too. I had a conversation with them since I had on my old school's lacrosse hoodie and they asked me about it. And I've seen guy lacrosse players on the train before. So in my opinion it's way more popular here than it was for me back home. Not sure if it would be as popular as Canada, but I would say that there's definitely love for the sport here. My photos from Japan and around the world: http://www.flickr.com/dylanwphotography |
