Downhill/MTB in Japan?!

Hi guys,

I'm going to stay in Japan for a few years in the next 3 months.
My question is,..is Downhill/Mountainbiking popular in Japan?!
Or do you know some spots, trails or even Downhill-Communitys around Tokyo?!
Would be great to get some answers! :-)
