I don't know what kind of deal Disney and Squaresoft have with each other but I agree, I played the first game and stopped because it was lame to play goofy and donald duck as rpg characters, although my lil brothers loved the game, it wasn't for me. So if they do remove the characters and put more human players, I would probably play the second one just so I could understand the 3rd one.

Yes! Then I actually might play it. I can't get past the whole Disney character thing. They also need to revert Cid Highwind to his former self. Then I'll play it.

I agree that they're part of the series and it wouldn't really be the same without them even though they're silly. As long as Utada Hikaru does the theme song again.

I don't think so.
It's what made Kingdom Hearts so unique and why it attracted so many different audiences.
They literally took a huge leap in the development of this game and it turned out really good.

I have friends (who aren't tweens lol) who don't usually play games but love KH because of the Disney characters.

I agree it sometimes took away from some of the "seriousness," but I definitely agree with everything EveV and TheLastFortnight said. And all the KH stages are originated from Disney movies, no? (I don't know anything about KH3 so maybe not...)

I think that they should reduce the Disney in the games, as there seems to be more of it than Final Fantasy (such as Disney worlds, more characters, and such), but not get rid of it. I think it helps make the game unique and gives it a special silliness to go in with the coolness.

NO! Keep them! It just gives me another reason to make fun of it!

I loved this online series so much called Kingdom Hearts 2: Mad Mix, where they change what they say from different clips of the game, that my friend made me a DVD of the whole series. The first episode is called "Hatred" I think, if you look it up on YouTube.

Otherwise, I think it'd be better without FF or Disney characters. I was raised in a "Disney family", but the whole story could've been better. I just have issues with playing games that are rated E because they're... Not brutal enough for my sadistic gaming ways.

Even if you look through all my Wii games, you will NOT find ANY E rated games, which is nearly the impossible.

Plainly put, but so truthful.

That's the whole concept of Kingdom Hearts. You take away Disney, you pretty much have a RPG that's a waste of time and money.

why?
I mean if Disney characters are taken out then it would just be a regular rpg game. If anything its this series thats made me more interested in FF. & i am a die hard fan of Disney so of course when i heard about the collaboration of these two i just couldnt wait to play it. This is the first time i've ever heard of anyone disliking the series based solely on Disney. I doubt its gonna stop Square enix though. Good for them!
