Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 announced

IGN: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Revealed

I can't wait, the first kicked a lot of ass..

I'm sure infinity ward won't let us down..

anyone else have high hopes... maybe some doubts?

Hmm, I guess it's cool but...what's going to happen with the campaign?

SPOILER WARNING

At the end of the first game, the war ends right? All the baddies are done for if I'm not mistaken. Unless some underground stuff starts to emerge or something. Well, if they do make a second game, they better add more weapons.

XjapanFOREVER 12-04-2008 03:49 AM

true, and they probably shouldn't make the carbine so bad-ass.
I don't believe I ever used a gun besides the carbine online... it had good distance with some power behind it...

then again, just because it's part 2 doesn't mean it has to be in the same time frame/world.... look at the FF series, the main series has no sequels (except for X-2) even though the titles would suggest so.

I just hope the online won't be too repetitive with it using the same engine.

Yeah, it could be a completely alternate plot altogether. I just wish the weapons weren't so unbalanced. The mp5 and p90 are way overpowered despite the mp5 using 9mm CRAP that can't pierce kevlar for what its worth, and the 50 round spray and pray magazine for the p90. I hope the sequel doesn't decide to add in new weapons and screw them up either. Well first, there's no logic in have a rifle that uses the same ammunition as a similar one magically deal more damage. But I guess there would hardly be a game if they didn't gauge the damage that way. All the weapons would be the same and everyone would use the most ergonomic (i.e. M4A2) or high powered ones (i.e. AK-47).

My goodness! I didn't even think they would announce another game to quickly. I haven't even played the latest game yet. >>;

Yayz for an awesome sequel in the works.

What are some ideas for a scenario?

I'm thinking a plot that will involve North Korea this time... maybe China too.

It would be cool to play as a South Korean soldier, a Delta Force op, and maybe they should introduce playing as a civilian trying to survive in a wartorn landscape. It's not really been done before... and FPS games need new ideas....

I have no doubt in my mind Infinity Ward will deliver the greatest first person shooter yet again. Treyarch really should take some lessons from IW...

That seems like the best option for them, focusing around North Korea and China. Well, whatever happens, don't screw the weapons, please, I'm begging you!!! DX

anyone pre-order the Prestige Edition.
If you shell out 149.99 you get fully-functioning NVG's.

Not a completely worthless investment... XD
