Download games, burn them to a $2 disc and play them?
And yeah, that $70 copy of Super Mario 64 feels great to buy, but the novelty wears off. Instead of going to Gamestop with money in hand, eager to pre-order or buy the newest FPS at the time, GoldenEye. It becomes a tedious chore after a while, espicially when demo's weren't available. Or I didn't have acsess to them. So then I would go to the store, money in hand, with mere hope, hope that the game I bought wasn't a big peice of shit that should have never been put on store shelves. I'm looking at you, Superman 64, that was $50 I would have rather wiped my ass with.
Point being, i dont like wasting my money.

u could always rent games first. remember devs need money to make games, so if dont pay for their games, so goodbye to video games.

1) Of course not. The technology to steal games for free didn't exist then.

2) Who in the hell is paying $70 for SuperMario64? You and iPhantom seem to like to spike prices to make your arguments.

3) I am sorry going to the store to buy games is "tedious". I know you are really busy with work and school, so making a trip to the game store is a chore. Still, that doesn't excuse piracy.

4) But now we have demos, reviews, the Internet...(I am tired of repeating myself).

Dude, do what you want to do, but don't pretend that stealing games makes you anything less than a pirate and a thief.

End of line.

Somehow laziness has become a badge of honor for the young in America.

That is really too bad.

Instead of being something, the goal is to be nothing. Well, that makes my job easier.

No comment on my Arg? Or on the MSRP of Super Mario 64 on release date? didn't think so..I went in and got the game with my dad..I remember how much it was -_-

Yeah, I'm not completely lazy, I have a job, I stay in good shape.

Quailboy 07-24-2009 08:47 AM

By the way, on its initial release, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time..$79.99

Wii
DS
PSP

I'm going to try to play through the stack of games in my closet before getting a PS3, but when you go to college and/or get a job, all your times mysteriously goes away . . . .

And, yeah, cartridge-based games have always been very expensive. I remember when Donkey Kong Country came out for the SNES (that's only one generation away from an 8-bit, mind you!) at pushing $60. My brother, sister, and I bought it at Wal-Mart with a shoe box full of change.

Now that developers are publishing on discs, those initial prices can be a little less painful.
