ありがとう~Nathan.
You are very やさしい!

I think there are always good people and not-so-good people everywhere,
so I just had a bad luck to have met that lady,

but, now I kind of appreciated it, cos that woman was one of the big reasons
why I could keep having a strong will to learn English.

Today I had a class to teach, basic English to the ladies in their 20's-30's.
I told them about this forum, so we might have more Japanese people
to visit here!
but they said they are not good at reading/writing in English yet,so
they will probablly visit my hiragana thread, so please visit there again!

Sweet! Thanks for saying that.

I am not sure if I am "nice" (I want to believe I am not a bad person though;) )
but you would also feel the same if you meet Japanese tourists in trouble I guess?

and what made me really wanted to improve my English skills were

1) Very very nice and friendly Aussies who took care of me when I went to Australaia for the very first time.

I really wanted to talk with them properly.

2) Very very greedy Australian old lady who were trying to cheat me on many things.

I really wanted to tell her how wrong she was.

The Lady 2) was very "famous" for her cheatig things among Japanese students, because she was the one offered one of her rooms as a "homestay" to Japanese students of English for a long time and had a lot of troubles.

She only accept Japanese, cos she thought all the Japanese were rich and stupid.

but not me!

There actually are quite a few Japanese spoilt kids go to Australia to study English. Many of them live in a very nice house in a rich area and spend over $500 for international phone calls and all.

so she wanted one of those kids who just believes whatever told.

Bananas are very very expensive, so don't eat it too many...just one in a week.
Gas and electricity are very expencive, much more than the costs in Japan,so don't study at night...

and so on...

I knew the prices of the bananas and I asked my aussie friends about the gas and electricity bills, and they were much cheaper than Japna and all...

and I paid the lady about 100000yen(AUS$700at that time) per month for a room including breackfasts and dinners (called homestay style).so I knew the money was enought for me to use the light to study at night for an hour or two!

and one day I found out most of her foods she buys are "expired" ones from some special discount stores!!!

she kept doing not nice things to me for a few weeks and I got sick of it.

One day I told her that I was leaving, and she got furious, cos she knew that no many people wanted to stay at her place if I leave she wouldn't be able to get money from anywhere so she was trying very hard making me stay, but it was too late.

so there were good things and bad things

made me really want to improve my English.

I hope you have a lot of good ones to make you want
to learn Japanese!!!

:) from what i hear, is that you were standing up for yourself. Which is a natural instinct, of course. But you sound like a very good person to me.

I see. The teachers are from Chicago, so maybe they don't use "fine" in that area. Thank you very much for your kind answer.

Hi! Thanks for the message. Pexster.

What made you interested in learning Japanese?

What I did to learn the language (for me, it was English), was
watching the same movie over and over! and read the book (the same title) over and over!
Until I almost memorized all the lines.

If you have any favourite Japanese movie, even anime, please try this!
