Myspace and Skype have lot's of Japanese people willing to talk to foreigners.

I see at least 10 of these kinds of threads open a day.

There are only about 2 Japanese nationals here, none of which are willing to be anyone's pen-pal.

You're going to get multiple posts saying "I'm not Japanese but I'll be your pen-pal anyways."

I dont understand why it has to be only Japanese. Why not someone who is able to speak Japanese?

Those people only THINK that they speak Japanese. The fact is almost all of them still can't say a simple thing correctly. Otherwise, I wouldn't get as busy as I do correcting them in the Japanese Help section.

Good point, I dont see conversations in japanese very often on here.

it would be clever to get a friend who is also learning the japanese, and can help her practising...
