I also speak portuguese, but I speak Portugal portuguese! :P
It is easier for foreigners to pronounce than brasilian portuguese but it also has some different grammar rules, some of then are harder than brasilian, but others are completely different.

Either way it is one of the hardest, if not the hardest western language.

But if anyone wants to learn just say!
I'll change for nihongo too!:D

@Peaceweapon you're right about the differences between Portuguese and Brasilian Portuguese, but also note that even in Portugal, depending on the places, there are characteristic pronounciations and writing habits that differ. I believe the same happens in Brazil too.

And also keep in mind that the social situations in both countries are different, the educational policies in Portugal are way more supportive in giving base education and are at the reach of everyone, at Brazil I think it isn't that simple for lower social classes, wich then reflects in the language knowledge and hability to articulate it.

Também sou de Portugal ^^

@Runas yay, é assim mesmo, bem dito! A nossa língua faz parte da nossa identidade e cultura ^^
