When I was in high school I had to learn French for five years and left school only knowing a few words and now I don't remember anything of the language. In my opinion, classes are not really the best way of learning another language but it depends on how good the teacher is. I tried text books when I decided to self study Japanese about two years ago and some have helped. I bought Rosetta Stone for Japanese a year ago, very expensive but worth it. I like how it works and it's a fun way of learning a language. A fast way to learn Japanese is to immerse as much as you can.

it's hard to learn a new language..
the real problem is when you forgotten words that you learn before.. I prefer writing down new words and try using it whenever I get a chance.. the thing is, english is not my native language and I'm still learning Japanese at the same time.. so, learning both language really a pain in the *** luckily, I somehow managed to do it though by communicating a lot with my peers.. my point is, try to communicate as much as you can with the native.. it really helps.. a lot! Don't do drugs! |

Look, please stop answering questions from people who haven't been on in over a year! Look at the dates the original poster posted. That should give you a clue as to HOW OLD the thread is....
