Looking For a Nice Japense Family Who Is Interested in Hosting a High School Student
My name is Jameson Yalap and I am an 18 year old junior at Mount Vernon High School in Alexandria, VA. It has been my dream from a very young age to live and study in Japan. I know that Japan is currently in a devastated situation and it may seem foolish and heartless of me asking for this, but I couldn't think of a better time to ask it. I want to go to Japan and experience first hand what Japan is going through right now. I've seen the news on tv and the internet but I want to go there myself and see with my own eyes how it is. I'm very kind, caring, mature, responsible and so I want to go to Japan and help those who were affected by the earthquake and tsunami. I am looking for any family who could pay for my airfare and housing this summer to go to Japan and experience the beautiful country and help the people Thank you and God bless!!!

Where to start.... hmmm
First, don't create 2 threads with the same topic and body. Don't double post either. As far as for the topic, there is no way a family is going to pay your way there. Actually, you'd be a hindrance more than a help there. If you can't speak the language, the problem compounds. If you're only 18, what "very young age" are you talking about? C'mon, be for real and look at what you are asking here. It is not going to happen. Save money and go yourself. I don't mean to sound crude and rude, but this is not a request anyone is going to take seriously..... |
Aah! Looking for thrills, huh? :D
Well, I can understand you a bit, having lived all my life in a land where nothing ever happens - no quakes, no storms, no tsunami's, no nothing etc. It's like witnessing a car accident for the first time - it's so out of the ordinary that you just can't help yourself but stare with your jaw hanging wide open. Though maybe I misinterpreted what you said. Oh, who cares.. Either way, I don't think anyone would be so generous as to pay for the tickets & stuff. You would have to get there on your own and only then you could hope for a nice family to take you in, which still is not very likely. This sort of stuff ain't that simple - preparations and all... You would have to find the right kind of people beforehand etc. (try student exchange programs or something - for your own money though) In addition, your motivation appears to be a bit far-fetched as well, like you pointed it out yourself. To wrap this up - try a different route/approach (way different) |
I would also leave the "God" thing alone, it ain't working here. :D ... and thank God for that.

What God thing? He only said God bless.

Thanks!
I know I was being selfish and stupid for posting this thread. You guys are right about getting there with my own resources, and not to rely and beg people for theirs. Thank you guys for being straightforward!:) Anyway, ryuurui, what are you talking about?

What are you talking about? What does this have to do with what I've said? Are you inferring that I'm an atheist or that I hate God? Let me tell you that I don't hate God. I believe in God. |
