Any thoughts on Gifu?
 

Hi all. Does anyone any experience of living in Gifu? I've had a good look on the net but can't glean too much. It seems like a quiet but pretty place, is that a fair description? Is there much to do at night?

Gifu isn`t a bad place. I don`t live there, but live in the prefecture just south of it - Aichi. I also drive through and around Gifu regularly.

It is a place with a lot of history, if you`re into that. But nightlife? Umm... I doubt you`ll find all that much. But it`s close enough to Nagoya that you can hop on a train and be in a big city in no time.
