Moving to Japan, how is Kosuge area?

Hello all,

Well i'm moning to Japan to be an ALT and have been looking for guest houses to live in. I have found some in the Kosuge area that look promising, (reasonable price and near the train line i need to take).

What is there in this area? How would it be to live here? Things to do that are near? Available grocery stores, etc.?

The guesthouse i was looking at in particular is said to be near the Arakawa River and is a ~10 min walk to the Kosuge Station.

no permanent housing, only temp. housing when i arrive
