There is a big demand for English teachers in Japan. That would get you a stay for at least a little while.

I've asked basically the same question on another forum before and the responses I got were basically have at least a bachlor's degree in a certain field of work, preferably something that would benefit Japanese people. Then to have a good amount of experience in that field of work before you move to Japan.

Good luck!

Hi

I think you need to be a native-english speaker to become an English teacher, or lived 12years in a english speaking county.

Yes you will need to have a Bachelor degree to get a work visa.
I would say you sould get a bachelor degree in your home-county in something you love to do for the rest of your life. Then try to find a job in japan.
Maybe take a holiday trip to japan and search for some possible jobs.

Anyway, others can tell you more about this then me.
Good luck.

Help! - 09-14-2008, 08:31 PM

I am a 18 years old guy from Hungary. My dream and my aim is to get to Japan, and to learn martial arts from experienced teachers. The next year I want to go to an academy where I can acquire the basics of the Japanese language, but I feel it will be a waste of my time. I wish I could to go to Japan in a year! I want to learn the language, the culture and mostly the martial arts. That's everything to me. I don't care, if it's just 2 or 3 years... I would work hard to make this time enough for advance. Please, if anybody knows a chance for me to go to Japan and reach my goal, please write me an e-mail! It's very important to me! My email adress: [email protected]
