I'm multilingual and want to work in Japan, what's a good career?

I'm considering studying a second degree/diploma in addition to my current science degree.
I can speak fluently English and Chinese and learning Japanese.
What's a good profession that uses languages and is not teaching?
I'm considering hotel management and tourism or journalism.
I like working with people and languages and writing and I'm really good with English. I can't write Chinese and can only read a little bit.

Can anyone give me any pros or cons or advice please?

The types of jobs you've listed don't necessarily hire overseas applicants.

You could look into becoming an interpreter or translator but they'll require a near-native level of Japanese ability.

you can work in universities as international center staff.. you can deals with international students and at the same time, improve your 2nd language as well..

There's always the JET program... You could become a CIR.


CIRs are posted in a local government office or an affiliated organization, such as the Council for the Promotion of International Relations. The CIR’s duties vary widely, but his/her primary job is to coordinate and facilitate internationally related activities in the community.
